OLD OTLIENSIANS RUGBY CLUB AWARDED RFU ACCREDITATION CERTIFICATE

Old Otliensians Rugby Club has been awarded the prestigious Rugby Football Union's Club Accreditation Award. The award scheme is designed to both recognise and assist a club to continually improve whilst demonstrating a real commitment to providing all that's best in rugby union.

The Club Accreditation Scheme is based on the satisfaction of six key components including the recruitment and development of players, volunteers and coaches along with good facilities and integration in the local community.

At a gathering of former players for a pre-match lunch before the Halifax game on 6th April, the Accreditation Certificate was presented to the Club by Yorkshire Rugby Union's Senior Vice President, Paul Govier. In presenting the award to Club President George Leach, Paul congratulated the Club on its achievements and stressed the importance of continuing to involve younger people in helping to run and develop the Club.
